Glenda GeeGee Boomer is an incredible little Shih Tzu. He was saved by a very kind lady Catherine Barker, who saw him advertised for sale on a selling site at just under 6 weeks. After hand feeding him and getting his strength up she handed him to Pro Dogs Direct as he had a problem with one of his back legs. He subsequently had his back leg amputated at 12 weeks old. The condition with his leg was genetic and nothing could be done to save his leg. Boomer was a very brave boy and was walking only 2 days post op. He received further hydrotherapy to strengthen his good leg. Boomer also had retained testicles and his other hip is slightly loose. These were all a result of bad breeding. Boomer came to live with me in March this year at just under 6 months. He lives with my four other Shih Tzus and his best friend is Poppy who we got just before Christmas, who was looking for a new home after her owners couldn’t cope at the tender age of 15 weeks. They are inseparable and love one another to bits. He has just celebrated his 1st Birthday and he is such a little character, but a very strong young boy. He has a lust for life and enjoys every moment. Thanks to Pro Dogs Direct and all of the other rescues for looking after these little guys x
