Glenys Raerino Hi all. I just want to say how much i enjoy reading all your stories. It really has made me appreciate my family and how easy my parenting journey is with their support. A few things i would like to share... First, trust yourselves mamas! You have all chosen to parent your way, so be PROUD! You arent doing this for fun or to annoy others. You are doing what you believe is right. You are convinced of this, so be confident. You dont have to convince others, its not about them, its about you and your family! If your critics are your medical professionals, no matter! You dont have to allow them to belittle you. Change. Or be selective what you tell them. Or have them explain their reasoning so you can make informed choices. Please also remember, these are your choices. Dont waste your energy trying to change the world. Your friends that use CIO and other methods you dont agree with have the same rights as you. It worries me how many of us (me included) can try and force our opinions on others. No mum needs to be made to feel inferior. We all need support not judgement. Your style speaks for itself, they can see what you do, let your actions and confidence do the convincing. Your methods will likely be carried by your children into their families into the future.
