The Global Young Leaders Conference (GYLC): Becoming Leaders of Change, is a 10-day leadership journey that attracts outstanding high school students, ages 15-18, who are inspired to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviors needed to become world leaders in the 21st century. Founded in 1985, the Global Young Leaders Conference allows you to fully explore cultural differences, gain firsthand exposure to the challenges of international diplomacy, build confidence and enhance decision-making skills in an exciting atmosphere that is challenging and fun. You will return home with a valuable perspective on your future and a greater understanding of your role as a future leader in an international community. The conference’s curriculum was developed by Dr. Marguerite C. Regan, a former high school teacher and social science department chairperson with a doctorate in political science from Purdue University. Dr. Regan has been involved in the creation and development of innovative educational curricula and programs for more than 30 years.
