Global Youth Connect is currently reaching out to college students and young professionals to participate in our upcoming “Human Rights in the USA Program” from October 8 to 15, 2014. Held during the opening month of the UN General Assembly and over Columbus Day Weekend, this program will bring young leaders from New York City together with visiting young leaders from the greater USA and other countries (including post-genocide countries such as Bosnia-Herzegovina and Rwanda) in a special summit to explore the human rights situation in New York City, the U.S., and the world. We are currently seeking young leaders from NYC (ages 15-25). The main program activities are: ● An intercultural human rights workshop ● Meeting with policy makers at both local and international levels ● Group volunteer service with local NYC grassroots organizations Attending our program would be a great opportunity for students and young professors to connect with other young leaders from all around the world. Local Participant Early Registration Fee: US $400 NOTE: Program Fee is $500 for Local Applications received after June 30, 2014 Limited partial scholarships available for local participants.
