Gluten-free, Dairy free Scalloped Potatoes and Ham *This dish merited a Best youve ever made, Mom! 6 Medium Russet potatoes, sliced 1 Medium Onion, sliced 1 Large Ham Steak, diced 3 Tbsp Butter replacement (I used to use Earth Balance Vegan Butter but at $5.49 a pound, I did some searching and found Always Save Spread didnt have any dairy or casein in it; it only costs $.99 a pound--BONUS!) 1 1/2 Tbsp Potato flour 2 cups Gluten-free Chicken stock 1 tsp Herbs de Provence 1/2 tsp Salt 1/8 tsp White Pepper 1/8 tsp Paprika 1/8 tsp Turmeric Preheat oven to 350 degrees Slice potatoes, onion, and ham. Layer in a 9 x 13 sprayed pan. In a medium sauce pan melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until well blended. Whisk in chicken stock and then add salt, pepper, paprika, and turmeric; cook, stirring constantly until it boils and thickens. Sprinkle the herbs de provence over the potatoes, onion, and ham. Pour the sauce over the potatoes, onions and ham. Stir to coat. Place in the oven uncovered and bake for 50-60 minutes or until potatoes are tender and golden brown. Serve with your favorite vegetable! Super delish!
