Go for a brisk walk today. Brisk walking burns a ton of fat, and virtually zero muscle. It reduces stress, speeds recovery, and improves your mood. Its often the least talked about form of exercise, but perhaps the most critically important, because its the one thing you can (and should) do everyday to speedily reach your goals, and feel better about yourself. People make the mistake, if fat loss is the goal and theyre not quite getting there as quickly as theyd like, of piling on more intense exercise. But this isnt the way to do it, and will only ever lead to one thing...burn-out. So do less of the intense stuff, but supplement it with brisk walking and youll notice the effects of it are greatly improved. 1-3 days per week of intense metabolic conditioning is more than enough to reach any fat loss goal with a clean diet and plenty of brisk walking. Its also sustainable. So heres what I want you to do today: Go for a brisk walk, either alone, or with a friend. But dont bring your phone, and dont bring your iPod. Just walk briskly, and be very deliberate about it. Get into your surroundings, and enjoy having no distractions. Go for 60 minutes.
