‘Gobbler’ Special Awards & Bonuses – Accord Speedway Saturday, November 30, 2013 *as of November 14, 2013 (does not include posted lap money) “Santa Sowle” Glen Ridge Modified Winner’s Bonus: The winner of the ‘Gobbler’ 50-lap Modified feature will earn an increased $7,117.11 – up from the originally posted $5,000 – thanks to Mike Sowle of Glen Ridge (N.Y.) Motorsports Park and Sowle Trailer Repair. Creekside Supply and Simplicity Designs also contributed to the extra cash. Heat Winner Cash: Each of the ‘Gobbler’ Modified heat winners will earn $100 cash, thanks to 710 Motorsports, Keith Sweigart Electric, Hig Fab Chassis and Elmo’s Auto Body. Heat No. 3 brings a unique twist: should a Hig Fab car win the heat sponsored by company founder Jerry Higbie Jr., the $100 cash becomes a $500 shop credit. Rock Fantasy Halfway Bonus: Rock Fantasy Concert, Smoke Shop & Pinball Room of Middletown, N.Y., has posted a $250 cash bonus to the leader of the Halfway Lap (25) in the ‘Gobbler’ 50-lap Modified feature. Bob Green Memorial Hard Charger Award: United Pump & Tank of Newburgh, N.Y., offers a $169 cash bonus to the Modified division’s Hard Charger, the driver who advances the most positions from their official starting position to the finish. The award is dedicated to the memory of late racing icon and patriarch of the Green racing family, Bob Green. The ‘69’ was – and is – the iconic family number that began with Bob and was handed down to Robbie and now Randy Green. Jack’s Used Race Car Parts Modified Dash for Cash: Modified heat winners will transfer into a Dash for Cash paying a minimum of $300 to the winner thanks to Jack’s Used Race Car Parts in Hurley, N.Y. Additional cash will be paid out as well. Ryan Sacco of Simplicity Designs has contributed $100 to the Dash event. Crunchco Snacks 11th-Place Bonus: The driver finishing 11th in the ‘Gobbler’ Modified event will earn an additional $111 thanks to Crunchco Snacks. Behrent’s Performance Warehouse Fast Time Awards: The two drivers turning the fastest laps in the ‘Gobbler’ Modified feature will each receive a $100 gift card for use at Behrent’s Performance Warehouse in Florida, N.Y. Manmiller Electric “One Spot Out” Award: Drivers missing a feature transfer spot by one position in each of the ‘Gobbler’ Modified consolations will earn $50 cash thanks to Manmiller Electric of Shoemakersville, Pa. ASI Fuel & Trophy Cash for Gas: ASI Trophy & Fuel will pay the driver not qualifying for the ‘Gobbler’ Modified main event with the longest tow to the speedway a $100 cash bonus. Shiley Fabrication Hard Luck Award: Gary Shiley, owner of Williamstown, Pa.-based Shiley Fabrication, has donated a set of bumpers and rubrails to the ‘Hard Luck Award’ winner at the ‘Gobbler’ as selected by race officials and media members. Bob Hilbert Sportswear Bonuses: The top-three finishers in the ‘Gobbler’ Modified feature will take home $100 product certificates redeemable at Bob Hilbert Sportswear in Boyertown, Pa. VP Racing Fuels Modified & Sportsman Bonuses: VP Racing Fuels will reward Modified and Sportsman drivers participating in the ‘Gobbler’ event. The highest-finishing Modified utilizing VP Racing Fuel and displaying a VP decal will receive a $250 fuel certificate, while the highest-finishing Sportsman utilizing VP Racing Fuel and displaying a VP decal will receive a $100 fuel certificate. Lias Tire Fresh Rubber Awards: Each of the ‘Gobbler’ feature winners – Modified, Sportsman & Pure Stock/Street Stock – take home a certificate for a free American Racer tire thanks to regional distributor Lias Tire of Indiana, Pa. D&D Napa “Know How” Certificates: All ‘Gobbler’ feature winners in Modified, Sportsman and Pure Stock/Street Stock divisions will receive $50 certificates for use at D&D NAPA in Highland, N.Y. Thanksgiving Dessert for Race Winners: Modified, Sportsman and Street Stock/Pure Stock winners will each enjoy fresh-baked pies courtesy of Wright’s Orchard & Farm Market in Gardiner, N.Y., John J. Liggan Insurance in Rosendale, N.Y., Peter Donahue and Rosendale Farmer’s Market. “Sharing with the pit crew is suggested!” Northeast Racing Videos 2nd & 21st Incentives: Drivers finishing in the second and 21st positions in each of the three divisions – Modified, Sportsman and Street Stock/Pure Stock – will receive a certificate for a free DVD from Northeast Racing Videos. Lineman Racing New Jersey Bonuses: The top-finishing drivers representing New Egypt (N.J.) or Bridgeport (N.J.) speedways in the ‘Gobbler’ Modified and Sportsman events will receive $50 certificates for use at Lineman Racing in Burlington, N.J. Sportsman United Pump & Tank Crate 602 Bonuses: The top-three drivers across the line in the ‘Gobbler’ Sportsman 25-lap event utilizing Crate 602 engine will receive cash bonuses of $250, $125 and $125, respectively, from United Pump & Tank of Newburgh, N.Y. Sportsman Bulldog Concrete Halfway Leader Award: The leader at the halfway mark (lap 13) of the ‘Gobbler’ Sportsman event will earn $250 cash thanks to Bulldog Concrete in Poughquag, N.Y. Sportsman Premier Auto Body Hard Charger: The driver advancing the most positions in the ‘Gobbler’ Sportsman event from their official starting position to the finish will receive $150 from Premier Auto Body in Highland, N.Y., as the race’s Hard Charger. Pure Stock/Street Stock “What Goes Around, Comes Around” Award: Ray and Megan Tarantino have donated their $100 winnings from a third-place Street Stock finish at Orange County (N.Y.) Fair Speedway during Eastern States Weekend to the third-place finisher in the Ron Wright Memorial Pure Stock/Street Stock event, boosting the position’s pay by $100. Pure Stock/Street Stock D&D NAPA Highest Finishing Accord Regular Bonus: The highest-finishing Accord Speedway regular (having run more than half the events at Accord this season) will take home $100 cash in the Ron Wright Memorial event thanks to D&D NAPA of Highland, N.Y. Pure Stock/Street Stock “Longest Distance Towed” Award: Doug Manmiller of Manmiller Electric will reward the Pure Stock/Street Stock driver with the longest tow to Accord Speedway for the Ron Wright Memorial Pure Stock/Street Stock event with a $50 cash bonus. Pure Stock/Street Stock Bonus Bucks: More than $800 in extra cash had been collected as of Nov. 14 to be added to the purse and distributed to Ron Wright Memorial Pure Stock/Street Stock competitors at the ‘Gobbler’ event.
