God Bless Jesse Peel for holding a torch many more years than I .....anyone under 45 has probably been spared the horrors of the times before the March on Washington. Most hid behind their window curtains as the Leathermen, Drag Queens, Hustlers and handfuls of brave people marched for the right to be treated with decency. When The Gay Rights March became the Gay Pride Parade and thousands lay slain by Aids in 1987....The mainstream that had found new courage to come out said Why do all THOSE people have to be in the parade with us? They give us a bad name and take the attention away from us normal people.
