God IS strange. God never changes! So if Hes done strange before, He can do strange again. Scripture allows us to be grounded in His unchanging character whilst simultaneously ok with His unpredictable nature. We would have to change God to claim He will only do what Hes done before. Thats idolatry right? But strange is hollow, dead & boring when compared with the nearness of God. So whether the nearness of God comes with strange or familiar, lets go there anyway.
