God Wants You to Change Your Ways Exodus 34:7 “I will bless thousands who love Me and keep My commandments. But I cannot overlook sin or forgive those who are guilty but don’t change their ways. They will have to face the consequences of what they do” Exodus 34:7 (The Easy English Clear Word). This verse talks about the wages of sin and the beautiful truth that God’s grace is enough for every single person that has ever lived or ever will live; however, God, in His ultimate fairness and infinite love, will never force anyone to do anything they don’t want to do; He will never force a single person to change his ways. In His perfect fairness, God gives each of us the choice to follow Him or to turn away from Him. The choice is so simple: Follow Me and live or turn from Me and run straight into the arms of death. Yet, sadly, millions are making the wrong choice, millions are choosing to follow Satan rather than God. This beautiful verse makes it clear that merely confessing our sin is not enough, we must also allow God’s amazing grace to change the way we live our lives. We must turn away from our cherished sins and turn back to God. The good news is that God does not expect us to do this on our own; instead, God sends His Holy Spirit to whisper to our hearts and to lead us into His eternal truth. Once we confess our sins and turn away from them, turning our hearts to God instead, He is able to make the change within us; but before He can do that we must first make the choice to follow Him. ~Randy & Trena Reed
