God appoints people into positions of authority either secular or spiritual. But often when men get into these positions they forget God and arrogate power unto themselves. They become tin gods and terrorize those under them. Herod did this to the early church by beheading James and arresting Peter. Pharaoh did the same thing to the Israelites in Egypt. When God’s children cries unto Him, God will always arise to reassert His authority and greatness so that it may be clear to all that He is the Most High over all the earth. His power is greater than any other power, no matter how powerful that power may be. His authority is above all authorities, no matter the level of such authority. Every authority, therefore, has to bow before Him and proclaim Him as sovereign over all. Point of Emphasis: God’s authority is higher than any.Prayer Point: Arise O God, reveal your power that men may know that You are the Most High.
