God as the destroyer. so in the north of India they removed a devi murt from her temple and the villagers were saying that they thoght it shouldnt happen because they feared it would disturb her. BUt The authorities wanted to build a dam so they were delaying. Finaly they removed the Kali deity. The next day the whole town flooded, in a report they were talking about the wrath of the fierce aspect of the goddess. How the temple was one of 18 placed in India in a sacred geometric way. The sacred sri yantra and its alignment in the temple when it was moved moved her direction and they said it activated Mothers destructive nature. The elemental forces are beyond our comprehension. Two villagers heard her say put me back in my place. Apparently this also happened in the 1800:s. So as i was sitting in bhajans in front of Mother Kali reflecting about God as the destroyer I thought well, we are all going in that direction, death and I was crying for some unknown reason after bhajans I felt agitated not really knowing why. This early morning a fellow sister comes up to me while I am in my morning meditation and told me a good friend had passed away last night... she was an elderly friend here in the ashram who I would spend time with and sometimes take care of, Janaki 87 years old. Peaceful, lovely to be with and sweet smile. I believe Mother was teaching me, showing me that although its not easy for us to accept the face of death as Gods will and that as we are given so one day everything will be left behind at least the body and all material posessions. This too is Gods greatness. As I stood by her casket this morning I felt such a strong energy all around and within, a sence of sadness, love for our time, gratitude and a calm and definate feeling that she was gone and everything is ok. love padma
