God certainly has His own way of reminding you how far His grace has brought you in this life. Yesterday I had to go to my old junior college to pick up a transcript as part of the document requirements to transfer into the third year of a Liberty University online degree program in Theology and Apologetic which I hope to begin in the very near future. The first reminder was that the name on my official transcript was not Daniel Taylor rather the transcript was listed under the Muslim name that I selected years ago when I converted to Islam. I explained to the counselor that I needed the name on the transcript changed to Daniel Taylor . I told her that after I graduated I converted to Islam and changed my name to the Muslim name but many years later the Holy Spirit entered my body and I denounced Islam and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and changed my name back to Daniel Taylor. Much to my surprise the counselor shouted Halleluiah and literally changed the name on the transcript on the spot . Later on in the same day I received a copy of my high school transcript in the mail and noticed that in my Junior year I was absent from school for 37 days. I tried to remember why I had missed so many days from school and then it became clear to me. These were the 37 days that I was admitted to the State Hospital for observation. This was after I came home from school one day and got so drunk that I took a golf club and busted out all of the windows on the front of our family home! I can still remember the sound of the glass breaking as I smashed each window with the golf club. My parents tried their best to get help for me . But the local juvenile court advised them that I should be taken to the State Mental Hospital for observation. These two things reminded me of just how far the grace of God has brought me over the years. Now I am a child of the most high God and I dont even drink at all for many., many years, These are just two examples of where God has brought me from that I had not thought about for a long time but yesterday the Lord reminded me of His Grace and Mercy.
