God does not attempt to maneuver His way out of chaos and calamity. He is not a God of avoidance but of accordance. According to His word, it shall be — His will be done! When He tells us not to rely on our finite knowledge and know-how, it is because His in infinite and He is omniscient. As much as we know and as much as we can do (said with a bit of playful sarcasm), we cannot hold up under turmoil, strife and the troubling times life brings. But God can and asks us to acknowledge Him, cast our cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7), take His yoke, lean on Him and learn from Him. He does not have heavy baggage to carry — My yoke is easy and My burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30). EVERY translation I checked used burden in the singular not plural. One read load is not hard to carry. God does not have burdens. And here is The Message translation of Matthew 11:28-30 ► “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me.
