God has been kind to me. Really my life is amazing. I cant believe my Lord would give me so much, His Son, my family, and all the possessions a simple man could want. Even my pain is now under control. Someone told me one time "I was broken goods" which cut deep but, to which I conceded to myself.. was so true. But God is a healer, builder, fixer, redeemer, counselor, encourager, lover of my soul, and merciful. King Solomon may have been the wealthiest man ever, but he was not more comfortable and at peace than I. A car to take me to and fro at will. Food from around the world instantly prepared or home cooked, with no fire to prepare or games men to send out to hunt. Ice to cool my brow, or put in my drink of any type, on a hot summer day. I can control my environment at will, with a push of a button on a thermostat, not so Solomon, who had only fauns, waved at him through the air. I can dress myself as elaborately as he, if I so desired. I can go into any major or specialty store within a city block and have all the worlds goods at my finger tips, without waiting for months for the sailing vessels to come in. I could go on; like speaking to friends on the other side of the world, rather than waiting to hear back by wrote, in months. I will always be grateful to my Lord for even the simple things in my life, like the draw of my breath which keeps me alive. One time a man told me "why thank God for things that are going to happen for you anyway"? Why? "Because all good things come from God". Its as simple as that. Thank you my Lord.
