. God has been revealing my self-righteousness tendencies especially considering the gift hes given me to serve in many roles with ease. Am I doing it in my power or thru His? Am I focused on serving Him or focused on the admiration of others? Am I satisfied with Jesus or am I serving to feel worthy of his stuff? As I meditated and asked God to reveal to me where my heart intentions were, I came across this quote which spoke volumes and reminded me how easy my heart can get off target. I hope it blesses you, too. Beware of anything that competes with loyalty to Jesus Christ. The greatest competitor of devotion to Jesus is service for Him. It is easier to serve than to be drunk to the dregs. The one aim of the call of God is the satisfaction of God, not a call to do something for Him.
