God is longsuffering with sinners for their sake. It is the good pleasure of God to show mercy to sinners upon the earth. God allows the wicked to live that he may give them space for repentance. Do not despise his goodness and forbearance. 1. You deserve to be in hell right now! 2. But God has put off the execution of his wrath for a season. 3. He has done so because he is willing to be gracious - God is willing to save sinners (Isa. 30:18; Ezek. 18:23, 33; 33:11).
