God is not a genie in a bottle. I dont get why people have the need to pray to ask for things. I mean, you can pray for guidance and strength to endure the hard times. Thats fine and it helps to reflect in your own mind that you are not alone in your struggle. I think, regardless of what we believe, we all pray in times of sickness or in the face of danger. The problem I have with it is when we blame Him for when things dont go our way. Its all about having an open minded perspective on life.
