God is seen frequently on Bus no 3 of late. Thats four times on the trot since March 29. No wonder then that the Eagles from Selhurst Park have attained the magical figure of 40 points with 4 games still in hand. This was unthinkable in the first half of the season for a team that was placed 5th in the Football League last year and qualified through a play-off to the Premier League since its inaugural season in 1992. It all started for Crystal Palace against Chelsea on March 29 in what would probably be one of the Clubs most significant wins of all time. And they have won three more games since then by exhibiting top season ending form. The win against Everton at Goodison Park last night will also find its way into the Clubs folklore. What makes it amazing is that Ian Holloway after playing a stellar role in the Clubs promotion to the Premier League left mid-season when they could manage only one win out of their first eight games. He joined the Clubs fiercest rivals across the motor highway M23, Millwall. Tony Pulis came back to serious management after a break and took over in end November. Its good to see Crystal Palace at the top of the bottom half of the table with 4 more games to go. Its teams like Crystal Palace which make the Premier League the most competitively played League in the world.
