God loves Barabbas, he loved Him so much, that He set him free, that He released Barabbas shackles and tightened the Lord Jesus. God offers to set you free, to break the chains of death and sin. All God asks is to change your mind, humble yourself before the Lord, and believe in Jesus [of the Bible(KJV)]. Believe that Jesus shackles were kept tightly fastened to His appendages, to drag Him to the cross, to pay the penalty for your sins, death. Only Jesus can save you, no amount of good works will. You cant go before a judge, being convicted of murder and tell the judge: look at all the people I didnt murder(good deeds). It doesnt work like that. Either you trust that Jesus paid for all your sins on the cross, or you will pay for your own sins, in Gods prison without parole, HELL. Matthew 27:16-17, 21-24 KJV And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas. Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ? The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas. Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.
