God, our creator and loving father, says "the wages of sin is death", (meaning that if you sin and continue to sin without asking for forgiveness and straightening up your act, you will die a permanent death). Knowing this, how can any parent who loves their child and wants to best for them in this life and the next feel that physical correction when that child is disobedient is wrong and too hash a punishment? The Rod now or the Fire Later? Just my humble opinion.
