The only women amidst thousands of Koreans, Vietnamese and American troops, we sat on the reviewing stand with the three-nation Generals to watch the elaborate ceremonies. Thoroughly mystified as to why we had been invited, we were conducted to the generals mess where we ate a sumptuous meal on crested china and gold-plated flatware. Finally, at the end of the meal, the Korean general called for his interpreter and said to me, I am sure you are wondering why I invited you here today! He continued with this remarkable comment: When I was a small boy in Korea, an American lady missionary led me to Jesus Christ, and I never had the opportunity to thank her. So wherever I go, I look up missionaries and honor them! There are no doubt many have illuminated our paths through this life. As we are obedient to Gods command there will be those whose lives we may brighten. LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE!!!
