:Gods Eyes: When Im watching my sons basketball game, Im his biggest fan. I cheer as loudly as I can, knowing my words encourage him. My eyes are always on him. This is how God looks at each one of us, his children. We are the focus of his attention. Im not always comfortable with the idea of God watching me, however. Sometimes Ive been unsure and even afraid of Gods eye on me. I look at my failures and think I dont measure up. This type of thinking is a mistake. God is not looking for the woman who is perfect or serves in the most ministries. Hes not looking for the woman who never misses a quiet time with him or never doubts. Instead, God is our greatest cheerleader. When his eyes light on his children, his eyes are full of compassion and kindness. Second Chronicles 16:9 tells us God is looking for the woman who is fully committed to him, the woman whose heart is saying yes. How do we become women like that? Not by relying on our own strength or striving to be perfect. Instead, we sit at his feet and worship him with thankful hearts. We are honest with him, read his Word and obey his commands. Then, over time, our hearts will be knit with his, and we will be fully committed to him. This verse also tells us why God looks for us: He wants to strengthen us. So when Gods eyes search the whole earth, theyll stop on us, and like a parent cheering in the stands, hell say, You can do it! I believe in you! Hes our biggest fan. -Melanie Chitwood {Chronicles 16:9} The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. What a fool you have been! From now on you will be at war.” {Isaiah 26:8} Lord, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart’s desire is to glorify your name. {Zephaniah 3:17} For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” {Hebrews 4:13} Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.
