Gods Principles When Apostle Paul said he desired to know - TopicsExpress

Gods Principles When Apostle Paul said he desired to know Christ and the power of His resurrection, he was expressing a desire to have a more intimate knowledge of His Word (php 3v10). Because death could not hold Him captive and keep Him captive in the grave, when you receive Him into your spirit and live by Him, no agent of death can hold you captive or keep you in a state of spiritual deadness. It is also important to note that God established a principle in His Word that says, If you can help your neighbor now , dont say, Come back tomorrow, and then I will help you ( pro 3v28). However, God is not your neighbor , He is your loving Father. Therefore, if God has all the solution you need for your earthly problems, if God has the ability and willingness to do something for you today, why should He ask you to wait till further notice? Why would God give you an instruction and then violate that instruction when it comes to fulfilling His promises to you? Martha said to Jesus Master, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. And even now I know that whatever You ask from God, He will grant it to You. (Jn 11v21-22). However, when Jesus told her that her brother will rise from the dead she thought Jesus was referring to the resurrection of the last day because thats what she could believe God for. Just like many believers today, Martha believed God wanted her to wait till further notice whereas God wanted her to have her hearts desire at the moment. Some people tend to believe that it is possible for God to do it for them after some time, but that it is not possible for God to do it for them at the present. But then they turn around and complain that God has made them to wait for a long time. Jesus reminded Martha that she did not have to wait until the resurrection of the last day, because she just said God will grant Him whatever He asked. Similarly, Jesus wants me to tell you that you do not have to postpone Gods promises in your life and wait till further notice because God can grant you whatever you ask of Him. If God was able and willing to grant Jesus whatever He asked for, then He is also able and willing to grant the request of those who have been brought into union with Christ Jesus. Even though Martha never asked or expected Jesus to raise Lazarus back to life, she desired that Lazarus would still be alive and Jesus knew the desire of her heart and decided to answer it by raising Lazarus from the dead. By raising Lazarus from the dead, Jesus wanted Martha to understand that she did not need to wait until the resurrection of the last day to receive a desire that God was able and willing to make available to her in the present, by raising Lazarus from the dead, Jesus wants you to understand that you do not need to wait until further notice to receive something God is able and willing to make available to you in the present. Today is Gods set time for you. God has all it takes to meet you at the point of your need. He has what it takes to put a smile on your face, He has what it takes to beautify your life and give you a glorious destiny. The Most High does not need time to think of what to do about your problems, He does not go on vacation, and as such does not require that you wait for Him to return from vacation to attend to your needs. In spite of the fact that we are but a grain of sand before Him , He never thinks we are too insignificant to get His attention or that our problems are too unimportant to deserve His attention. In spite of the fact that He oversees the whole universe, He is never too busy to attend to your needs, but says He will answer you even before you call to Him. This shows that God values you and regards you very highly, it shows that God has promised not to keep you waiting in the visitors room, but that He will attend to you immediately, it shows that your case is not at the bottom of Gods to do list, and as such you do not have to queue up and wait for your turn. When it comes to Gods dealings with you, you do not have to wait for your turn because your turn is always now, it does not matter how many times in a day you come to Him, He will always attend to you immediately. @Triumphant Grace
