Gods Word Jesus Christ Who was perfect, is perfect and always will be perfect is The Rock upon which the True Church of God, which is the True Believers in Jesus Christ, is built, period. Deuteronomy 32:4 He is The Rock, His work is Perfect: for all His ways are Judgment: a God of Truth and without iniquity, Just and Right is He. This is the type of Rock that God would build His True Church of God upon. Amen! Deuteronomy 32:18 Of The Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee. 1 Samuel 2:2 There is none Holy as the Lord: for there is none beside Thee: neither is there any rock like our God. 2 Samuel 22:2 And he said, The Lord is my Rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; 2 Samuel 22:3 The God of my Rock; IN Him will I trust: He is my shield, and the horn of my Salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my Saviour; Thou savest me from violence. 2 Samuel 22:32 For who is God, save the Lord? and who is A Rock, save our God? 2 Samuel 22:47 The LORD Liveth; and blessed be my Rock; and exalted be the God of the Rock of my Salvation. 2 Samuel 23:3 The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be Just, ruling in the fear of God. Psalm 18:2 The LORD is my Rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in Whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my Salvation, and my high tower. Psalm 18:31 For who is God save the LORD? or who is A Rock save our God? Psalm 18:46 The LORD Liveth; and blessed be my Rock; and let the God of my Salvation be exalted. Psalm 28:1 [[[A Psalm] of David.]] Unto Thee will I cry, O LORD my Rock; be not silent to me: lest, if Thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. Psalm 33:1 For Thou art my Rock and my fortress; therefore for Thy Names sake lead me, and guide me. Psalm 62:2 He ONLY is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. Psalm 62:6 He ONLY is my Rock and my Salvation: He is my defence; I shall not be moved. Psalm 62:7 In God IS my Salvation and my glory: The Rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Psalm 71:3 Be Thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: Thou hast given Commandment to Save me; for Thou art my Rock and my fortress. Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon A Rock: Matthew 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon A Rock. The conversation in Gods Word that follows is about Jesus Christ and Who He is, not about Peter. This is quite clear and quite obvious from the context of the scripture verses that follow: Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Cesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? Matthew 16:14 And they said, Some say that Thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. Matthew 16:15 He saith unto them, But Whom say ye that I am? Matthew 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but My Father which is in Heaven. Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this Rock I will build My Church; and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on Earth shall be bound in Heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on Earth shall be loosed in Heaven. As long as the True Church of God is still upon the Earth Satan CANNOT rule for the Great 7 year Tribulation. We are the power of Gods Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit, same thing, the resist the evil upon the Earth and withholds its power to do evil. Amen! Therefore, the True Church of God absolutely must 1st rise to meet Jesus Christ in the air, before Satan can rule completely upon the Earth. WOE to those who are Left Behind after Jesus Christ comes for His True Bride in Jesus Christ, Amen! Jesus Christ was talking about Himself during this entire conversation in Matthew 16:13 - 19. The only thing He said that He would give to Peter was the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, which is that whatsoever he bound on Earth would be bound in Heaven and whatsoever he loosed on Earth would be loosed in Heaven. These keys are given to all True Born Again Believers in Jesus Christ, not just to Peter himself. Luke 6:48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on A Rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon A Rock. 1 Corinthians 10:4 And did all drink the same Spiritual drink: for they drank of that Spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. There you have it, Jesus Christ is the Rock upon which the True Church of God in Jesus Christ is built. God would NEVER build His Holy church upon a mere sinful human being, and at the time that Jesus said that to Peter he was NOT even a Born Again believer in Jesus Christ yet, so he was not yet forgiven for his sins, nor washed clean of them by Jesus Christs shed blood, because Jesus Christ had not yet shed His blood to pay for all of our sins.
