God’s love is real, not a mere emotion. His love is not a rumor, the result of an investigators’ research, information found in a book or a logical deduction for possible consideration. All we know about God’s love comes from what He has done. It is love demonstrated, love in action. Salvation is awesome. Its origin is in the passionate love of God. We are aware of it, but it is the transcendent mystery of God’s own heart. He was moved to save us, and His Word was given in Jesus physical shape. Salvation became personified in Christ and in all His work from the womb to the tomb. Simeon, that just and devout man from Jerusalem, saw the Christ-child, held the babe in his arms and said, “Lord, my eyes have seen your salvation” (Luke 2:30). The product of God’s desire was not a Psalm or a book, but the “the Word”, our Lord Jesus, who “made His dwelling among us” (John 1:14). God bless you.
