God’s plans are very deep (Psalm 92:5). He isn’t hiding those plans from us; rather, He’s working them at such a foundational level in our life, that nothing can mess them up. When hurricanes and tornadoes sweep across our life, it’s comforting to know that such storms cannot sweep away His intentions for us. He can turns bad situations to profit. The early believers were driven out of Jerusalem by persecution. But rather than losing their faith when hard times came upon them, the early Church carried their faith with them—and won thousands to the Lord. His plans are deep that way. God can make a way when there seems to be no way or when we’ve lost our way. Spiritual assault and life’s difficulties may drive us ‘away from home’ to foreign places where it seems God’s plan has come up short. But God carries us through adversity—holding fast to us and to His purposes. The key is to keep saying “Yes” to Him—and to His deeper plans.
