Going along with Victoria learning how to sit up good, a few days ago I bought this chair that several other moms with trached kids said had helped their little babies learn to sit. I brought it home and assembled it, then was so excited to have Victoria try it. She HATED it!! Cried immediately and after that just the sight of the seat made her upset. So today I took it apart and gave her just one of the toys on the seat to play with. At first she wanted to get mad but I started to play with it and acted all excited, at which point she (sort of) played with it. Later I put her next to just the seat portion of it and then put a few of her favorite toys and dolls in the seat. We played with the toys and dolls in the seat for a while until she felt comfortable. Then I got the nerve to put Victoria in the seat and we played with her favorite toys while she sat in it. It may take a while before she can enjoy the whole thing put together, but she has made incredible progress today with this toy. I was even considering taking the thing back to the store if I couldnt get her to stop crying every time she looked at it.
