Going forth to conquer the world....with her awesome necklace on Katrina is excited for Mrs Taggarts 3rd grade class, as she is the only one left in grade school she so kindly advised me that I am going to rule the school. Shyann & Morgan had so much adrenaline for heading to middle school that they got up at 545 this morning to make sure their total package was perfect...the life of being a preteenage girl in middle school....let the games (and DRAMA) begin! On another note - for those of my family & friends wondering why theres not a going to school pic of Dominic - we got a call yesterday from the middle school saying they were behind the 8 ball in hiring his para (1:1 staff for school and his bus aide since they didnt realize he was special needs) and therefore he is unable to go to school until such said individuals are hired and trained (so I added a picture from when we went to the lake). Needless to say, if it wasnt for me physically going into the school last week and again this week asking them about it, he wouldve went to school without any aides and according to his schedule had NO resources or special ed according to his IEP! You wouldve thought that this wouldve been taken care of uh I dont know....LAST YEAR when the elementary school decided to pass him to middle school and lets see....Ive seen his file, its pretty thick....you cant tell me they didnt get it! FRUSTRATING!!!! (And I even was proactive last year and was one of 2 parents that attended the meet and greet for MS...and I even discussed face-to-face my childrens special needs, requirements and accommodations with not only the counselor but also the principal and secretary! Not a good way to start out the school year with a special needs kid with an IEP in place that has been in the system FOREVER! NP school district you are on NOTICE with this fit-to-be-tied momma, dont be surprised if you see me at the school board meetings or get a cute little note from my attorney....cause I am a well educated woman with more than 2 degrees that knows all about the IDAPA statutes, Titles, ADA, and many more laws that you have now and once again broken (because this isnt the first time NPSD has failed this kid, dont expect me to play nice in the sandbox)!...just sayin
