Going out on a limb here and going to admit that Adrian Peterson is being unfairly persecuted. As his mother says sometimes we go too far disciplining our children - but we do it out of love and only to prepare them for the real world. Agreed. If he is guilty, then I am guilty. And for the same reasons - only because I want my boys to understand limits, boundaries, rules and consequences. Did he inadvertently injure his child? probably - did he do it out of rage and/or in an attempt to abuse or dominate that child? - I confidently doubt it. He was being a father. If he is guilty, then I am guilty as well - come take my kids, my business, my way of life and label me a villian too - because I love my kids enough to discipline them as well. I tell them, then I warn them, then - if it comes to it - I spank them. I love my children and I imagine he does as well. All the while, I also recognize there is a need to protect children from parents who are physical without any sense of purpose - here is where we have the issue. But lets recognize the difference.
