Going to speak at my alma matter..Millikin University in October. They are hosting an author reception for me afterwards. So..fancy..lol. Im honored. But holy crap this one makes me nervous...more nervous then when I presented at my old high school. Idk why..just does. But what a great way to leave an impression on students majoring in child-related fields. What a great opportunity to reach young professionals before they have child abuse staring at them in the face once they start teaching. Just got to suck it up..but I think the size of the crowd is what scares me the most. Its harder than you can imagine to stand up in front an auditorium full of people and say out loud the things in my book. Writing it was one thing...talking about it still terrifies me. But I do it..and I keep giving presentations..got to get the message out.
