Goldwater Scholarship The Center for Academic Excellence & Leadership Development is holding four information sessions on Goldwater Scholarship. Given your field of study and academic excellence, I would like to invite you to the information sessions. This scholarship awards $7,500 for STEM students during the last year or two years of your undergraduate studies. Please see the eligibility below. Even if you are not applying till next year, I encourage you to attend this year’s information session to learn about the scholarship process. Information session times are listed on our 2014-2015 Calendar. Eligibility: · Graduating between May 2016 and May/August 2017 · Have a highly competitive GPA · Have research experience (optional) · Major in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) fields · Be a US citizen or a permanent resident · Intend to pursue a doctoral degree · Strong commitment to a career in math, the natural sciences, and engineering · Obtain institutional nomination (You need to submit UNM preliminary application.)
