Golf Phenom America has a new rising star in golf that I believe - TopicsExpress

Golf Phenom America has a new rising star in golf that I believe will rival Tiger Woods incredible playing career when it’s all said and done. His name is Jordan Spieth. I know what some people must be thinking. How in the world can I make such a bold prediction especially since the guy I’m talking about is only 21 years old? Tiger Woods has won 14 majors, second only to the great Jack Nicolas so what makes this kid so special. Well, nothing really. Jordan Spieth reminds me of Joe Montana, the former great San Francisco quarterback. Montana wasn’t big by quarterback standards, wasn’t the quickest or even close to having the strongest arm, but ended his career arguably as the very best quarterback of all time. Jordan Spieth doesn’t drive the ball as far as the big hitters on tour, doesn’t have the smooth swing of a Fred Couples or really anything special about him that stands out other than he knows how to put the little white ball in the hole more frequently than any of his peers lately. Case in point, last week Spieth shot a final round 63 and won the tournament in Australia by 7 strokes. Rory McILory, the number one player in the world had a chance to watch this Phenom is person for 4 rounds and afterword stated that if he, Rory had played the final round 100 times he couldn’t even sniff anywhere close to a 63 that Spieth shot. Today, Spieth won another golf tournament in FL, this time by a margin of 10 strokes. He beat Tiger Woods by 26 strokes. Did I mention Spieth is only 21. Now we need the likes of Spieth to emerge as the next American tennis Phenom.
