I was lucky to receive 6ml at Saunders Bch but not everyone was that fortunate but by lunchtime the overcast sky cleared to blue once again. Mostly sunny tomorrow with a very slight, slight chance of a shower near the coast. Currently its 24.9C, Humidity is at 53% and Winds are East North Easterly at 31km/h. A broad area of low pressure will develop through the interior of the state during the next couple of days and should extend into southeastern Queensland during the weekend. Hot to very hot conditions will also extend from the southern interior of the state to remaining southern, western and central parts from Friday. Forecast for the rest of Wednesday Some light showers about the east tropical and central coasts. Possible showers near the west Peninsula coast. Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the southern interior, decreasing during the evening. Fine and mostly clear elsewhere. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, fresh and gusty at times along the east coast north of Fraser Island and through the northern interior. Thursday 23 October Possible showers near the east tropical coast. Showers and gusty thunderstorms developing over the southern interior east of about Quilpie and also through the Granite Belt and far southern Darling Downs, though with little rainfall expected. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. A hot day through the southern interior with moderate northerly winds, gusty at times during the morning. Moderate southeast to northeasterly winds elsewhere, fresh at times over northern and central parts. Fire Danger - Very High over central and northern interior, reaching Severe in the Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders district. Friday 24 October The weak trough will most likely shift further east into the southeastern interior of Queensland, with a broad area of instability developing over the south of the state. Some showers and gusty storms are likely, particularly about the ranges. A slight chance of showers will persist near the east tropical coast. Fine and mostly sunny conditions will occur over the remainder of the state. A hot day is expected through much of the interior and southeast inland. Saturday 25 October Unstable conditions will persist over the south of the state with some showers and gusty storms likely, particularly about the southeast inland. A slight chance of showers will persist near the east tropical coast north of Cairns. Fine and mostly sunny conditions will occur over the remainder of the state. Hot to very hot conditions will spread through much of western, central and southern Queensland, particularly inland parts where enhanced fire dangers are also likely. Sunday 26 October Temperatures will increase further through western, central and southern Queensland, leading to enhanced fire dangers. The heat and instability will likely result in some showers and gusty storms over the southeast of the state, particularly inland parts. Instability will spread further through the interior with possible showers and gusty storms, though with little rainfall given the lack of moisture.
