Good Afternoon and Happy Sunday to everyone! it is cool and cloudy with an expected high of 63 degrees! So, grab your jacket or sweater as you are leaving! Only a few drops of rain fell on me today, but grab your umbrella anyway! According to Maayan Schechter, our SCDOT will present improved plans on the Hitchcock Parkway widening project! So, stay tuned! Maayan also wrote about Masters Week visitors and how the Aiken businesses are preparing for this! he has included a nice picture of Van Smith, co-owner of mens formal clothing store Lionel Smith Ltd. in downtown Aiken! Van is saying that Masters Week for Aiken is like a second Christmas for his business! Van is shown on the front page and on the back of Section A! You Missed A Spot, or Jeepers as he is known around the barn, is shown with Wendy Dietzel! This horse won the Aiken Horse Show in the Woods; Costume Class, depicting a bubble bath! Ben Baugh wrote this article and took the picture too! Teddy Kulmala took some nice pictures of the St. Thaddeus Home and Garden Tour that was yesterday! Teddy also took some nice pictures of the AC Farmers Market! He wrote about their offering fresh produce and baked goods too! This market has been there for more than 50 years and is the oldest running open-air market in the state! Stephanie Turner has written about To Kill A Mockingbird! This play will be presented at the Aiken Community Playhouse! Check the paper for details and the schedule! Stephanie has included some nice pictures too! What a treat to see one of my former NEMS students in the paper today! Clinton Moore is engaged to a lovely young lady and is getting married in November! We wish them the very best of luck too! The paper has included a nice magazine about our AC Government Center! be sure to check out this about remembering the past and preparing for the future! The sports section has a nice article about The 78th Masters that will be played on Thursday through Sunday! USCA will celebrate the mens basketball team on April 14th @ 4 P.M. In the Lobby of the Convocation Center! USCA Pacers won over Lander (6-1) in baseball! Congratulations to them! Matt Hissong was the USCAs pitcher! I love this quote by Anatole France, a French author and critic! he said, If fifty million people say a foolish thing, it is still a foolish thing! Enjoy the remainder of your day and your evening too! Please remember that our AC school students are on spring break! So, please watch out for them! They are so precious and so excited to have some fun! Of course, the teachers are excited too! Please remember to watch out for them too! LOL! :)
