Good Christmas morning, and the sun is coming up, first time in a week, that yellow ball in the sky sure makes it more festive.. Since it is TBT, my memories are: 73 years ago today I was adopted into the Paris family in Toronto.. Mum told me that I had cried all Christmas Eve, and upon arriving at Grandma/Grandpas she placed me into the arms of her sister Isobel, where I promptly fell asleep. I became the third oldest grandchild, my cousin Carol who passed away this year and her brother Peter preceded me. Today as I reflect, our grandparents were the leaders of the clan, when they passed the mantle was passed down to my Mother she the oldest of six. When Mum passed In 2004 at 96, it went to Carol, with Carols passing it is now left up to me and cousin Elaine (a year younger). What an awesome responsibility.. Im here in the States and more or less let Elaine take over, since everyone is located in her area (Toronto and environs). As to my birth parents, both are gone and were gone before Canada released our adoption papers and information, so I was unable to at least inform my birth mother that I was adopted into a loving and caring family.. Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas Day, it is a true day for reflecting on faith and home..
