Good Day to all of you Plumery Tails, The Adventures of Max & I - TopicsExpress

Good Day to all of you Plumery Tails, The Adventures of Max & I and Max Terrell followers. I am posting this as an apology as well as an addendum, previously posted, to our services provided to our visitors here at Plumery Tails in Galena, IL. We have, unfortunately, had to disappoint some hopeful vacationers by putting some restrictions on our Meet & Greet opportunities with our Pack of gentle giants. We wish it to be understood that the Meet & Greet option was not meant to be, here at Plumery Tails and therefor is faced with a many Trial & Error repercussions. I am a poet and childrens book author, not a breeder, border, petting zoo nor adoption facility. Let it be noted, that the mission of Plumery Tails is to offer your children, good reading material that is as educational as it is entertaining and my boys are simply the protagonists that are offered as a visual connecting force to these stories. As much as I love my boys and would love to share them with the world, which is the premiss of all my books, I cannot accept liabilities for toddlers who are fearless and parents who are irresponsible with their children, even after being prefaced by a list of dos and donts, in the presence of large breed dogs. It is my intention to afford every child and its parents with a wonderful, canine, experience coupled with poetic charm, but in order to keep all who are involved safe and content; we have to be aware of the facts that my Malamutes are some of the largest dogs of their breed and are excitably prey driven and anxious with hospitality. Non of my boys are over three years of age and non of them are under 120lbs (except, newly acquired 11 week old, 40lb. Lambeau). My Lil Maxx is 155lbs. of gorgeous fluff and even more girth. Bear is 130lbs. of anxious, prey driven speed of up to 35mph. If your child is under 4 1/2 tall, he/she is right in line with Bears face and when he approaches, at his incredibly fast gait, it will induce most any child to run or scream. Obviously, this is not a good situation for a 30 or 50lb. child, so please understand why we would need to enforce a height restriction. The most common response from parents is, My child is used to big dogs!. Im sorry, but if my dogs were just big dogs, like those you and your children are accustomed to, you wouldnt have bothered to stop and be in the company of these traffic halting, wonderments of the canine community. So I am here to reiterate, with all sincerity, that if you are going to stop by, on a whim, because your peripheral caught glimpse of these Marvels, in Galena, please understand our need for height restrictions and afford us an opportunity to award you a proper Meet & Greet with your young ones by calling ahead and making us aware of your childs size so we may accommodate you with a personalized session. Thank you for your time in reading this post. B.J. Schwartz and the Boys of Plumery Tails: Bear, Lil Maxx, Blackie, Glacier, Tundra and Lambeau.
