A new high in the Great Australian Bight will strengthen during the remainder of this week, reinforcing the ridge. A surface trough over southeastern Queensland will shift offshore during Wednesday morning. Forecast for the rest of Tuesday Isolated showers about the east coast and adjacent eastern interior areas. Thursday 5 June The high pressure system will shift further east of New Zealand as the new high intensifies over southeastern Australia.
