Good Evening Everyone, I am trying to not share as often my medical issues but something that recently happen to me, I felt I had to share and hopefully used as a FYI if you ever find yourself in this situation. A while back I developed an infection in my lungs (my auto immune system is weak so it was easier to get than most people). While in the hospital I was placed on an I.V. and steroids were given to fight the attack on my lungs. My lungs begun to respond well but severe headaches started and I became sensitive to lights, I learn that I had early stages of glaucoma and when steroids are used, it advances the glaucoma. Before steroids are used make sure you also have your eyes tested. Currently the doctors are telling me that they can pull me off the steroids but my lungs wont heal or put me back on the steroids but the glaucoma will cause me to go blind. Talk with your doctor.
