A very Chilly morning this morning with the temp dropping to 6C out at Kelso which I must say was rather unpleasant lol (not partial to the cold, hence why I live in the North) luckily a much more pleasant 12C is set for us tomorrow morning with the chance of a shower late this evening/ tomorrow along the coastal fringe, Currently its 18.8C and the humidity is sitting at 67%. Below is your forecast for tomorrow. _____________________________________________________ This is the Official Forecast for Thursday 3rd of July 2014 for Gladstone to Cooktown and west to Mt Isa. _____________________________________________________ Weather Situation A large high over western New South Wales extends a strong ridge through Queensland. The high will move only slowly eastwards to lie over eastern New South Wales by tomorrow and should move into the northern Tasman Sea on Friday and Saturday. Forecast for the rest of Wednesday Fine and clear across most of the state. Possible isolated light showers about the eastern tropical coast and developing about the central coast late in the day. Mostly moderate south to southeasterly winds about the coast, tending east to southeasterly inland. Winds moderate to fresh over the tropics and reaching strong at times about the northern east coast. Thursday 3 July Fine and mostly sunny over much of the state. Isolated showers about the east coast from the northern Capricornia coast northwards as winds tend more onshore. Isolated showers are possible over the adjacent tropical inland during the afternoon. Extensive areas of morning frost over the central, southern and southeastern interior. Moderate southeast to northeast, fresh to strong at times about the northern east coast. Friday 4 July The high will shift further east into the Tasman Sea. A surface trough will move into the southwest of the state during the day. Isolated showers will persist in the onshore flow about the east coast and very isolated showers may extend into the southern and central interior during the afternoon due to the influence of the trough. Areas of morning frost over the parts of southern and southeastern interior. Showers may tend scattered about the central coast. Saturday 5 July The high will weaken over the northern Tasman Sea. The inland trough will move eastwards and move offshore over southern waters by late morning. Showers will persist about the southern and central east coast ahead of the trough in the early hours of the morning before fine and sunny conditions spread from the west. Isolated showers may persist through the day about the northeast tropical in the fresh onshore flow. Fine and mostly sunny over the interior. Morning frost possible about the Granite Belt. Sunday 6 July A new high over central Australia will extend a ridge over much of Queensland with dry, cool air spreading to much of the state. Fine and sunny conditions across much of the state with only isolated showers possible about the far northeast of Cape York peninsula.
