Good Evening Folks, Yesterday afternoon/evening, Thursday, a Facebook posting was being circulated from a different page that there was some alleged incident at Oyster Creek. The posting created unnecessary panic and caused widespread misinformation to run rampant. While the posting cited radio traffic as being the source of the information there was a severe issue with the credibility of such information especially with certain details. We reached out to Oyster Creek and the Exelon Corporation and Suzanne DAmbrosio, the Site Communications Manager, confirmed that the posting was indeed wrong and that a temporary electrical issue at the plant caused delays for employees leaving the plant last evening. So if you heard the rumor/story now you know the facts of the real story. It is a shame that some people find it necessary to play fast & loose with certain information especially when regarding a nuclear facility.
