Good Evening Mr Carvalho, I believe that you joined us at Tobago’s Restaurant and Bar earlier today and had a less than pleasant guest experience. I would like to apologise for this. Both my restaurant manager and I were here and nothing was brought to our attention. I guarantee that if it had, I would have like to opportunity to discuss your experiences in person. Could I ask you for a few moments of your time for you to let me know the details of how we did not meet your expectations, as I would like to address these issues and invite you back in the near future to showcase the true hospitality that are known for. Looking forward to your response. Kind regards, Angus Spurr Food and Drinks Manager T: +27 21 441 3000, D: +27 21 441 3246 M: +27 82 551 5551 Angus.spurr@radissonblu radissonblu/hotel-capetown Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront Beach Road, Granger Bay, P.O. Box 50041|, Waterfront 8002, Cape Town, South Africa Hi Mr. Angus Thank you for your email. It must have been just after 4pm when myself and a friend decided to have a late afternoon drink at your hotel. We parked in the basement parking. Finding no suitable table at the outside patio area we proceeded to the pool area - to find no seating as well. Not one staff assisted or attended to us while walking around looking for a table. We arrived at the Bar to find Bar staff and waiters standing at the TV area talking and laughing loudly. One lady waiter had a obvious problem in her rear area and was scratching profusely. No one attended to us. I had to draw the attention of one of the waiter ladies to us for service. While waking to us from the TV area she continued to chat to the rest of the staff at the TV area. Even me asking about Cocktails she was listening to the rest of the staff taking and mid sentence with me responded to her staff members talking about the up and coming rugby game. We were treated as a by-product. Thus angered me very much. I decided to come to your hotel on purpose - to enjoy myself. The beer was warm - the glass was hot and dirty of the counter - no coaster - un-wiped table. My friend asked for a Tonic water - was warm - un-opened tin placed on the table - no attempt to open and pour. I had to ask for glass coasters as seen in my picture. At this time a disabled gentleman was in a motorized wheel chair at the bar counter with a empty beer glass. While to staff and bar man noticed him - he had to reach with great difficulty to place the beer glass on the counter and leave the Bar. What meant to be the start of late afternoon drinks pleasure turned into a upsetting distasteful experience. Mr. Angus - I frequent at the Maputo Radisson Blu often - after every visit I feel special and want to return. Friends that I invite to the Maputo Radisson Blu - feel special and compliment. Unfortunately I can not say the same about Radisson Blu Waterfront Cape Town. We left your hotel and stopped at La Vie in Sea Point - a simple Bar / Restaurant. Waitress smiling - made recommendations - glass freezing - beer steaming with vapor cold - we left only after 3 hours- that is what I expected from your Hotel - at least.
