Good Evening, Our latest conference call with the NWS has given us the following information on Tropical Storm Andrea: - Rain will begin late tonight (from a different system) and continue through Saturday morning. - Widespread rainfall amounts in of 2" to 4", isolated areas may see 4" to 5" - Rainfall amounts in this range will produce flash flooding & potential river flooding. - A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for our area beginning 4am Friday morning to 6am Saturday morning. - Main threat for River Flooding will be Saturday into Sunday. - Minor Coastal Flooding is possible with Friday evening tide. - Winds may gust up to 40mph in the Coastal Areas, 25mph-35mph Inland. Expect these winds to begin Friday afternoon/early evening. As with any weather event, if you live in areas that are normally effected by heavy rainfalls - please take the appropriate actions. Though Tornadoes are occurring with this system in Florida, they ARE NOT expected here. This will continue to be closely monitored. As more updates become available, they will be sent out.
