Good Evening: Was a bit down and bored earlier so what did I do? Thats right cook something to give away. However I did taste it and got a slight buzz! Today I made a special chocolate martini bread pudding that was nothing short of outstanding. Special folks will get special pieces (smile) Recipe is gladly shared because just because you have a recipe does not mean the prepared dish will taste the same lol. It has to be prepared with love! Recipe........Uptown style 3 eggs Please do not substitute powdered eggs 1 can of Bordens over priced expensive Sweet heavy condensed milk (the red can) a nice portion of regular milk. No powdered mild please A lot of sugar. Please do not substitute pancake syrup A good heaping of real cinnamon Some nutmeg Some margarine Remember no butter because its uptown stye 1/2 whole loaf of older close to stale bread cut up in chunks 1/2 loaf of cinnamon raisin bread cut up in chunks A handfull of chopped walnuts you can just hold/hide in your hand as you check out of store lol i pack of no frills instant vanilla pudding because its uptown style A generous cup of Kailua, Cream de Cacao, Ballys, and no name Rum mixed together. Heat Oven to 350 In a large mixing bowl mix all ingredients together except the actual bread Put all the cut up cubed bread into the bowl with the mixture Stir until all the bread is totally under the ingredients and soaked. Allow to sit in bowl for at least 1 hour so the ingredients will take over the bread. Why? Just seems like a good idea lolol After sitting, the mixture not you, pour entire mixture into a casserole pan and place in oven uncovered. This means no aluminum on top because you know I do not have the tops lol, and allow to bake till golden on top which should be about 40 minutes in most ovens but in my Barbie Toy oven it was about 2 hours lol. Of course I am kidding about the oven. Remove from the oven and let the bread pudding sit for at least 30 minutes but I know how we do and that might not be possible. After allowing the pudding to stand cut into squares and serve with a drizzle of chocolate or cherry syrup and maybe some ice cream. How did it taste? OUTSTANDING and it gave me a buzz which is why I am typing and posting this. But really it is so good........the small piece I had!
