Good Evening folks! Hope all is well. As you read from a previous post, longtime alto sax player Katie Childers passed away this past thursday at the young age of 27. I have been in contact with both her father and Scott, and proposed the idea of having a representation of the band, current and former members to be there and play Hail Spartans Hail. Scott will be talking to the pep band to see who is available. What Im doing is seeing who would be interested in playing for this. The service is tentatively slated for Friday May 23 at 11AM at the Oak Hill Cemetery in San Jose at the mausoleum. The attire is for the current members to wear the pep band shirt and dark slacks either black or navy, and for former members to wear their alumni band shirt, and dark slacks, either navy or black. If you would like to do this, please message me and I will create a list and send it to Scott and Paul J. Olivo. And, if we get any form of representation, when we do this, when the arc is set, we will leave a space open which is basically a band version of the Missing Man formation.
