Good Monday Morning! Here are todays Fast 5 Headlines! 1. Scary times south of the city yesterday afternoon. A train derailed just before the St. Norbert bridge. 7 cars, carrying things like wood and plastics, jumped the track. Fortunately there were no injuries, and the cause is under investigation. 2. Despite all the snow and cold we had this winter, it looks like things will be okay on the flood front. The Red is expected to crest in Winnipeg this week, and should stay within its banks. A high water advisory for the Assiniboine River from Holland to Portage la Prairie is in place, and thats due to potential ice jams. 3. The grim search for bodies continues in that capsized ferry in South Korea. So far, 64 have been found but over 200 are still missing. 4 more crew members were arrested yesterday and charged with negligence of duty. 4. Climbing season could be over on Mt. Everest before it even really began. On Good Friday, 13 sherpas were killed as they were setting up ropes for the upcoming climbing season and an avalanche hit. 3 more are still missing. It was the deadliest event ever on the mountain. The sherpas now say they may strike as they make very little pay for whats a very dangerous job. 5. Finally today....Boston strong ! Today will mark the 118th running of the Boston marathon. Over 35 thousand people are expected to take part this year...a year after those deadly bombings. Security officials say the marathon route will be the safest place on earth today. Temps a little bit cooler today than yesterday...but not a bad start to the work week ! Enjoy your Monday.
