Good Monday Morning to all, Hope everybody had a fantastic weekend and to those who had the privilege to go to Johannesburg International Motor Show hope you enjoyed it and saw amazing cars which we hope to own when we are older ;-). We are heading for the end of the year so quickly. We had a update on the warranties of new units. Just want to remind all quick how warranties work. Any dealer wants a unit serviced at least 1 -2 times a year for the warranty to be valid or even make it 12 months longer like LG and Hisense, they give you 2 years on the compressor if serviced yearly. Samsung gives 5 years warranty on the compressor. Now a compressor (out of warranty) is worth about 4 -5 years of services all put together depending on unit size. If your unit is already out of warranty, you do still need to service to maintain the unit. It helps prevent the compressor from blowing or any other parts. Most suppliers warranty on a newly repaired compressor out of warranty is 3 months. Hope this helps :) Have a stunning week :)
