In case you missed it, San Francisco on Friday was transformed into Batmans Gotham City for five-year-old Miles Scott, whos in remission from leukemia and who lived out his dream of becoming the superhero, courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Batkid came to the citys rescue by capturing the Riddler and the Penguin, who were played by actors. Christian Bale, who starred as Batman in The Dark Knight trilogy, hadnt been aware of the Batkid story before the weekend because he was in Spain working on a movie. He tells New York magazines Vulture website that after he arrived in Los Angeles, I looked on the news and I saw this headline and thought, Whats that? And I saw all the pictures of him running around and saving people. Its so touching. Bale also praised all of the Twitter users who spread the word on Batkid. He said, This little kid, oh my God -- what a wonderful day for the little fella! Its just fantastic, seeing all those people who were out there to support it.
