Good Morning Christian and Welcome To The Morning Light! DISPLACING YOUR HEART Lets remember that God is a God of the heart. That is where our connection with Him is made and kept. The more important a thing is to us, the deeper into the center of our hearts it reaches. Like a glass of liquid. As you add heavier liquid it pushes up and displaces the lighter. SO it is with the heart of man. Those things we fix greater affection to, push the lighter things out, and take a more prominent position in us. Therefore Jesus said... And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. —Mark 12:30 Jesus doesnt automatically sit in the throne of prominence in your hearts just because Hes Lord. He must be placed there by your love for Him, as your affection for Him is deliberately nurtured above all that you love. Jesus is Lord, but you make Him Lord of your heart. Today take time to set Jesus in your heart as Lord above all. Let all else be pushed aside by the surpassing weight of His majesty. For as you love Him in this way, His Love will add virtue and fulfillment to your own life.
