On this date in 31 B.C., The final war of the Roman Republic took place. Forces of Octavian defeated troops under Mark Antony and Cleopatra. I believe I saw that in a movie. That Cleopatra was a snazzy dresser. The word for the day is beholden (bih-HOHL-duhn).
